Apple Mac Java
Programming in Java on Mac Pro?
I thought for a laptop and looking at the Mac Pro from Apple. All I remember is I am a student and have to program in Java. I wondered how much programming is done Mac Pro?
The first thing to consider is that Apple's product SDK Java for Mac, not Sun This means that in general there is a delay (sometimes long) between the official versions of Java. Java is more important, is not official 6 for Mac (yet). This is not really a problem, though, as there is a free port in the port of OpenBSD SoyLatte called Java. I do a lot * * Java Development on a Mac Pro, and I really have Java 6 for our project. I had no problem using Eclipse and SoyLatte. OSX is very similar to Unix, and provides many tools on the command line that are simply not available in Windows (except perhaps time with Cygwin). I have a Thinkpad running Vista, and former Mac Pro with Leopard. I use the Mac Pro for programming, and to test Thinkpad Windows. Hope this helps!
