My macbook keeps freezing ): ...?

So my macbook pretty much freezes every 20 minutes.

And it does it at every website I go to.
And I can't even get on youtube.

I use firefox. I've also tried Safari, but everything freezes on that one too.
And by freezing I mean, that little beach ball comes up and won't ever go away.

I've already restarted my computer.
And ive only had my macbook since july.

Someone help?

When your computer starts to slow down. Check this:

Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor > Apple Menu > Monitor > Show Activity Monitor > System Memory

Look for Page ins/outs at the bottom. Page outs should be close to zero. Or less then 5% of page ins anyway. If you are beach balling, I pretty sure that your pages outs are way too high.

Which means that you don't have enough RAM memory and you computer is having to page out to the hard drive, for virtual memory. Thats what is slowing your MacBook down.

To solve the problem you should upgrade your RAM to the max. 2 GB, 3 GB, or 4 GB. What ever your model can take. It's really easy to do, not that expensive, and it will make your MacBook run a lot better.
