please help me with my macbook,i'm getting crazy....?

well i have a macbook and my dad bought for me from san diego but he brought it to one of his friends and he customized it but right now there is some thing,the macbook was ok until today i put the mac os x installer DVD in it i didn't know what was it and when i restarted my laptop it started to install,what is happening?will me programs and movies in the macbook be deleted?right now it is just installing and the old desktop is disapeared,i'm just wondering what will happen to my old things like 4movies and...and one thing when it started to instakk the memory was the one which i fulled it with my movies and the and i think they won't be deleted.plzzzzzzzzzzzz help me my e-mail is:metall_f70@yahoo.com

Hi Nice Girl. Thanks for your question. The truth is that the Installer gives you several options regarding the operating system, and the result will depend upon the option you selected.

Your movies will only be preserved in the "Previous System" folder on your hard drive if, by chance, you selected "Options" and then "Archive and Install."
