Is it bad to change the fan speed of macbook pro often? (using the smcfancontrol)?

So i downloaded the smsfancontrol and i change my fan speed depending on what application i 'm running and how many at a time... i set my default as 1900-2000.. and i often change it to around 2800 ... and my question is.. Is changing this sort of often will hurt the fan? or should i just leave it high or low?.. thanks ^__^

It won't damage it, but it's completely unnecessary. Your MBP will adjust the fan speed automatically. Those fan control apps are just for the paranoid.
