1.83ghz Intel Core 2 duo iMac vs a new 2009 Macbook?

I am thinking of replacing my iMac with a new Macbook and want to know if I will see an increase in performance. My current iMac has 2gb of RAM. I would get 4gb in the Macbook. I primarily run Adobe Lightroom since I'm a photographer.
I want to be clear. I am replacing a 3 year (or so) old Intel based 1.83ghz iMac 17" w/2gb of RAM with a new white Macbook 13" 2ghz with 4gb of RAM. It's also important that I see a performance boost with Lightroom specifically.

there is an obvious difference
between a 1.83 and a new macbook
commen sense would tell you that
what you need to understand
however
is that
unless your running snow leopard
you macbook can not utilize 4 gigs
so it is basically worthless
so if you buy a new macbook
(i would advise you to wait for the release of the new macbooks
in the following weeks)
make sure your running snow leopard
if you want 4 gigs of ram
and do yourself
dont buy a 1.83 macbook
they really suck
