which computer is better?

hello! im a college student and at the moment have HTML programming and adobe illustrator (among other classes). i already know i want a MAC (the programs we use run on MACs anyways) but im not sure which laptop top is better. I may be working in that field later, but not as a major career or anything. ALSO i know macbook pro has multilanguage keyboard, not sure if the regular macbook has it. i need it to write in english and japanese (kanji, hiragana, katakana). SO which is better?

PS. im mostly just fussing about having to pay 200$ more for the macbook pro.
yea, but im not going to be using for professional use! after the spring...it will mostly be just for music/movies/ and internet. and perhaps occasional design stuff.
