Macintosh Laptops

Can someone help me with my laptop choice?

I am a student entering college. What I need is a laptop that can handle the workload. I am going for multimedia, such as web design and audio production. I have been doing research for a while now and have limited my options to a Macbook and a Dell Inspiron 1720
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T8300 (2.4GHz/800Mhz FSB/3MB cache), Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium Edition. I have no problem using Macs, as through experience I have found them to be better overall computers. But, I would like to have input from other people as to what the better choice would be. Here is what I reall need out of it:
1. Good processor for running audio programs like Logic Express.
2. Spacious hard drive
3. Decent RAM (nothing less than 2GB)
4. Not a gamer

You can probably get any modern notebook in the configuration you specified. If you are going to be carrying it around you might also think about size and weight.
As far as Mac vs Windows, check with students who have taken the classes you will be taking since they may have insight as to which is best for those classes. You can get the best of both worlds if you get a Macbook since you can buy a copy of Windows and using Bootcamp or Parallels run both on one notebook.
