I have an old mac ibook (I think)... it's an os x 6, or something. I would know exactly what model, but my cat ate my power cor and biff-- it's dead. So, I found a cord that looks good for cheap, but I want to be sure: will a Powerbook G4 / iBook (Dual USB) 65 Watt AC Adapter work?

There's no way of knowing for sure if you don't know yourself what laptop you have. Take it into an Apple store and ask them to identify it, and then you should be able to figure out from there if the cheap adapter will work.
