How do I reset the administrator password for a Mac PowerBook G4 with Mac OSX installation discs?

I have difficulties to restore my admin password for my Mac PowerBook G4 I have read the instructions and put the installation disc into the computer and went to "Install Mac OS X and software provided and when I hit the reset button on her tells me a user name and password to restart and install. Boot from an installation disc of Mac OS X (one whose version is closest to the version of Mac OS X installed).
