What is the windows experience index for the 15-inch macbook pro core 2 duo/2.66GHz?
Ah its going to be the exact same really. Mac and IBM Clone hardware is basically the same now (since the Intel switch by Apple). If you get a 15" IBM Clone with Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz, 4GB RAM, and Windows 7, you should get a reasonably similar performance to a Mac. You might get a bit better performance out of the Mac, because of Snow Leopard efficiency, but it won't be miles different.
Mainly, the Mac will run differently because OS X is different than Windows. But does that mean better or worse? Neither, again, just differently. They are different computing experiences. Its not about better or worse outright, its about better suited for each individual person.
