Macbook Pro volume keys created dashboards and not volume?

I do not know if I put something, but the first full row of keys (including volume, brightness, iTunes playback controls, etc) do not work at all, and when you press the volume keys of the dashboard is in place rather than actually volume control. I can run the latest version of Mac OS X on a MacBook Pro How I can solve this problem?

Go to System Preferences Keyboard and uncheck the first box in the function keys
