Do Mackbook laptops come in colours like lime green and purple or do you have to buy a cover for it?

I want to get a macbook for my birthday and i dont know if they come in colours. And if you know how much they range that would be great!

Unfortunately Macs do not come in colors like the iPod Nanos.
But you can buy an Incase protector that will let you get some color.
Incase is a company that makes fantastic cases for everything Apple.

If you are talking about the 13in MacBooks then there are basically two options.
First the white MacBook. It was just updated Wednesday (May 27th, 2009). The basic set-up is fine for internet browsing, word processing, watching movies, iTunes, photos, and other things like that. And the price starts at $999.
Second is the Aluminum MacBook which is awesome. It starts at $1299 but is totally worth the extra money.
Both start out with 2GB of Ram, 160GB hard drive, NVIDIA GeForce 9400 graphics card, isight camera, bluetooth, b/g/n wireless card, 3 USB ports. You can increase the processor to 4GB and the hard drive to 500GB.

Oh, and buy iWorks 09 and the little $19 remote.
iWorks 09 is Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. There the Mac versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Except they work and look better. And they can open Word, Excel, PowerPoint documents.
And the $19 remote lets you use your MacBook like a boombox.

You can get a discount if your a student or know a student with a school ID. And you can also get $229 off of an iPod or a free 8GB iPod Touch with a student ID.
And there is a $100 rebate off of a printer. So you can get a free printer if you choose one less then $100.

P.S. Don't buy a new Mac until after June 8th. Apple may announce price cuts, better computers, or even a new tablet at the World Wide Developers Conference.
You wouldn't want to buy a "new" MacBook just to find out a week later that a "newer" version just came out at the same price.
