Apple MacBook Ejecting blank CD/DVDs?

Every-time I insert a blank DVD or CD into my MacBook, it thinks for a second, then spits it back out. It doesnt happen with any other kind of CD or DVD, and hasnt done it in the past, although I have only had it for a few months.

I have tried repairing disk permissions from the Utilities menu AND the install CD.

Any ideas?
