How do you save sms from your Blackberry 8900 to a Macbook Air?

My memory has reached its toll and my Blackberry lags all the time, so I thought a good way of solving the problem is to save all the sms that is taking up so much space into the computer. But I don't know how.. I've looked around websites figuring out how but I am not in any circumstances going to manually transfer 10,000 by forwarding it to my email.

You can't be negligent with your phone. You have to be more responsible. Delete the insignificant texts every few days to make space.

There is no simple way to transfer all of your text messages to your computer from a BlackBerry. With a Mac, your only option is to email them.

This is one of the only instances I have ever encountered of PC-only software. Most software supports Mac OS but the only program available for downloading texts from a BlackBerry is not Mac-friendly at the moment. In September, RIM will release a Mac version of the software to seamlessly sync your BlackBerry to your computer. Right now there is software that exists but it is terrible. So when the Desk Manager (http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/mac.jsp?) is released, you can look into downloading the Amber Converter software if downloading text messages is still not an option through the mainstream BlackBerry program. Otherwise, you can only email the ones you want to save and delete the unimportant ones.
