mac pros only:macbook white 2009 unibody runs slower!!S.O.S?

well i actually took for granted what apple says about macs that they are protected against viruses so i did not bothered to install any antivirus utility.2 months later i am facing minor lags when i launch programs or major ones when i tried for example create a dvd when idvd could not respond so i forced it to quit.also once after the start up i could not log because after i wrote the password the os made me write it again and again without typing the wrong password.also my mac isnt that fast than it used to be so am worried about viruses.Finally there is a disk permission issue which disk utility cant repair..help guys!!!!

There are no MacOS X viruses, you can't have one. If you have a problem that the disk utility program cannot fix, you need to insert the MacOS X DVD that came with your Mac, restart holding down the "c" key until your Mac starts up from the DVD. Then run the disk utility program and have it repair your hard drive & your permissions. Then restart your Mac and run your software update program.
