How to put windows media player on a macbook?

I just bought a Macbook and I downloaded Windows Media Player. When going to open, I get a message "There is no default application specified to open the document" RP8-setup.exe. I can the opportunity to select an application. The problem is most options are the ghosts and Arnt im not sure to be chosen. Please, please tell me who you are prompted to choose!
