MAC Question! Please Help!?

i just got a new black Macbook for my high school trip to Spain, and we have to do PowerPoint presentations. i had bought the Apple version of Microsoft and created a PP just fine, but now i have to connect my computer to the projector, and i don't know how to do it!! my old laptop had (i believe it is called a jump drive) the large rectangular inset that the projector plug fit into. is there some type of converter i could buy in order to still connect. i am afraid if i just put it on a flash drive that the program won't open because the computers here don't have the Apple version of PowerPoint
i was incorrect, it is not a jump drive that my laptop doesn't have, it does not have a slot for a VGA cable! any response would be greatly appreciated!

Can't help you with your hardware problem but there is an option within Powerpoint called Package For CD which will copy your presentation to a CD (or a folder on a memory stick) which includes the Powerpoint player, allowing your presentation to be shown on a PC without Powerpoint.
