anti viral scanner 14????
Lately I've been noticing that when I'm on MySpace a popup comes up and says my computer is showing signs of viruses and malware or whatever and then refers me to this web site

there's another one that also pops up and I'm not sure if it's the same one, but both of them "check for viruses" and I always quit Safari when I'm directed to this web site.
Does anyone know what it is and how to stop it? I don't want to ruin my MacBook 
Robert's answer is correct, however he seems to be spamming yahoo answers, his sites are unrelated - he will most likely be removed from the system soon.
It sounds like you do indeed have some adware that you need to have removed.
There are a lot of virus and adware tools that will remove it for you.
Here is just one such utility, but I am not a MAC expert, so perhaps posting another question for suggested MAC spyware and virus removal tools.
