Newegg Macbook Ram
help replacing the RAM in my MacBook??
so I bought some RAM off of newegg.. .2 Mushkin 1Gb PC2-6300 SODIMM 800Mhz modules...
but.. according to this:

the macbook only supports PC-5300 DDR2 667 MHz RAM
should I just go ahead and try it anyway? i don't want to mess up my macbook!

BTW, this RAM is labeled "Apple OE" RAM and even says on newegg that it is compatible with Apple Notebooks....

Wiill the RAM slow down to the 667 Mhz listed in the pdf?

I think the best way is to go to a genius bar and ask there.
Normally, the RAM is used at the maximum frequency the motherboard can handle (667 MHz in this case).
