How I can reduce the resolution (file size) of HD video on my MacBook Pro, so you can quickly upload it to YouTube?

I have a macbook pro and I have a high-definition video is about 4 minutes. I put the download on YouTube, of course, there are about 4-5 hours and just returned home only to find the progress seems stalled at about 50%. I need to get this video downloaded ASAP and quality (resolution) is not as important. How do I have to do to reduce the quality enough for me to download 10 to 20 minutes? If possible, I would use the program, which imported the videos is iPhoto. Thanks, Daniel
